DHBT Celebrates Key Milestone for ‘Buildings at Risk’ app Project - Thanks to Volunteers!

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

Breaking news! Our amazing volunteers have helped us to survey 500 Grade II listed buildings in Amber Valley using our ‘Buildings at Risk’ app! This is a remarkable achievement since the launch of our project just three short months ago and we would like to thank each and every volunteer who has given up some of their valuable time to help make this possible.

However, although this is a huge cause for celebration and means we are now over halfway through the survey project for Amber Valley, we still need your help! There are a number of areas where very few building condition surveys have been completed using the app. These include:

-              Idridgehay (and surrounding area)

-              Alderwasley (and surrounding area)

-              Kedleston (and surrounding area)

If you are local to these areas and are able to help us survey some more of these buildings, we would really appreciate it. Remember, the sooner we complete the survey project for Amber Valley, the sooner we can move to Derby City and then other areas of the county!

We are also looking for keen walkers or cyclists who might help us tackle some of the more remote and ‘out of the way’ Grade II listed buildings in Amber Valley. If this sounds like you, get in touch with the team and we can help you find some buildings to target on your next adventure. Or why not explore the app yourself to see if you can find some hidden buildings to target solo or with friends? A treasure hunt of historic buildings!

If you haven’t yet joined our ‘Buildings at Risk’ project, but would like to get involved to help us reach our goal or receive some support with our new initiative, send the team an email to:

We are always happy to provide online support or arrange a 1:1 support session at a time to suit you.
