Discover new insights into the history of Wingfield Station from the researchers who have delved into the archives over the last year.
Members of South Wingfield Local History Group, rail enthusiasts and family historians have collaborated on this new research as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project.
They will be sharing their findings at South Wingfield Social Club on Thursday 26th October.
Subjects include the transition from road to rail, early rolling stock, locomotive works, early health and safety, how the railway connected the local collieries, the First World War station master and the station in 1947.
FREE to attend but please reserve your ticket due to the capacity of the venue.
Tea/Coffee will be provided and the bar will be open to purchase drinks.
